In 1985 Renshi Green started in his first Martial Arts School at Houghton Collage in Houghton, NY.

Training in a school named "Fighting Dragons Kung-Fu in the art of Kun-Tao Kung-Fu. His first Sifu was "Sifu Larry Fish. Sifu Fish's Instructor was Sifu Minnamyer...(whom Renshi never had the honor of meeting). Renshi Green was with this school for 4 years and reached the ranking of Purple Sash.

Shortly after reaching his rank Renshi's Instructor Sifu Fish stopped teaching and referred Renshi Green to try a new style. Renshi Green joined a White Crane Kung-Fu school in Olean, NY (Pak Hok Kung-Fu).

The Sifu of this school was Sifu Lowlle Saber. Sifu Saber had training in several Martial Arts and was a Hand to Hand Combat Instructor for the Military. Sifu Saber received his White Crane training in Japan during his Military days. Renshi Green reached the level of Brown Belt in this school.

Do to job restraints Renshi Green moved and ended training for about 2 years. Not counting his own training and self-training to keep himself sharp.

In 1994 Renshi Green began his training again with Sensei Daniel Bower in Isshin-Ryu Karate in LeRoy, Ny. Training in this style for 4 years Renshi Green reached his Blue Belt under Sensei Bower but once again was forced due to Job requirements to stop training once again.

In the year 2001 Mr. Larry Green met (Now Soke) Bruce Calkins through a mutual job. They became fast friends and began training together. Soke Calkins was teaching as an associate with several schools and Renshi Green trained where ever Soke was. First in Caledonia, Then Chili and Perry Finally Back in Caledonia at our New School 3127 Main St. Caledonia, NY.

In 2005 Shodai Soke Calkins advanced Larry Green to the title of Deshi-Kai and welcomed him to the front line.(Teachers row). Renshi Green is a very focused student and a fine instructor and will be with our Dojo through Black Belt and Beyond.

On April 11th 2005 Renshi Green was awarded the highest honor awarded in the Golden Dragon Dojo. He was given the "Bushido Code Award". This is an award given by the students not the instructors as a sign of excellence and thanks for the hard work and dedication one puts into the whole class and Renshi Green truly earned this award.

After constant training and teaching with the Golden Dragon Dojo in Perry, NY... Soke Calkins was proud to award the rank of Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) to Deshi-Kai Larry and moved him to the title of Sensei.

Renshi Green far surpasses all the requirements, Both Mental and Physical for his ranks. As an instructor he is both Mentor and friend to all of the Dragons. He is a strong member and a proud addition to the Golden Dragon Yodansha.

Renshi Green now holds the rank of godan 5th Degree Black Belt. A Rank & Title Well Deserved.

Renshi assists in the teaching at the NEW Golden Dragon Dojo in Caledonia, NY. and we are proud to have him at our side.
